An unexpected conversation occurred today after our NOW women’s conference… I was eating lunch with the ladies we had come to share with and a lovely older lady came up to me and said, “I’m so happy you told us that you were an introvert! I’ve always seen it as something negative about myself.”  I smiled and we talked about all the things we had in common, like social hangovers and loving the quiet and alone moments in our days, her confidence building the more we shared. And she left today leaving behind the lie that being an introvert meant she couldn’t be a leader. She wasn’t ashamed of it anymore!

I hadn’t planned on talking about being an introvert in my portion of our breakout session on Empowering Women. It had just come out as I was speaking; just part of me sharing who I am with them. I never would have thought out of all the things that I had PLANNED to talk about, that something so casually spoken was what would stand out the most.

When you embrace who God made you to be and walk confidently in that identity, it impacts others more than you ever could have imagined!
